Solar Noon is the time of day when the sun is at its peak height in the sky. In the summer time this causes clouds to form vertically and stall with little no lateral motion. The updrafts allow hawks to fly higher than usual with little to no effort. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed filming it.

I was listening to this song (The Goldberg Variations, Variation 19 by Johan Sebastian Bach) when I was scanning through this shot and discovered the biplane floating through the bottom off the frame. It prompted me to reflect on how the airplane and compositions by Bach are some of mankind’s greatest achievements thus far, but they remain tiny compared to nature.
